ICAD 2025 Islamabad Pakistan

International Civil Aviation Day 2025 Islamabad Pakistan

Introduction

The Rawalpindi Flying Club (RFC), established in 1957, has proudly served Pakistan’s civil aviation sector for over six decades. Throughout this period, RFC has trained and produced hundreds of highly skilled pilots and flight instructors who continue to contribute to airlines, private enterprises, and training academies both in Pakistan and abroad. As one of the oldest and most reputable flying institutions in the country, RFC remains committed to advancing aviation education, safety, and innovation.

Continuing its legacy of promoting aviation excellence, RFC is organizing Pakistan’s first-ever national-level celebration of International Civil Aviation Day (ICAD) from 5th to 7th December 2025 in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The three-day celebration is designed to promote general and commercial aviation at the grassroots level, ignite passion for flying among the youth, and highlight Pakistan’s growing potential in the aerospace sector.

The ICAD 2025 celebrations aim to commemorate the importance of civil aviation in connecting nations, fostering innovation, and supporting sustainable socio-economic development. With the central theme, “Latest Technologies for Airline Pilot Training in Pakistan,” this event will also encourage dialogue on modernizing aviation training systems through technology, simulation, and research.

Vision and Objectives

The vision of ICAD 2025 is to strengthen the national aviation ecosystem by integrating education, technology, and community engagement. It seeks to create an inspiring platform for aviators, aeromodellers, astronomers, engineers, and enthusiasts to come together and celebrate Pakistan’s aviation journey.

Key objectives include:
• Promoting aviation awareness and career opportunities among youth and students.
• Showcasing indigenous talent, university projects, and innovations in aerospace technology.
• Encouraging collaboration between academia, industry, and government agencies.
• Highlighting aviation’s role in sustainable development and international connectivity.
• Inspiring future aviators through exposure to real aircraft, models, simulations, and seminars.

Key Highlights

The International Civil Aviation Day 2025 celebrations promise to be a unique blend of education, entertainment, and inspiration. The festival’s major attractions include:

• Pakistan’s First-Ever Civil Aircraft Fly-Past over the Islamabad area, featuring RFC’s fleet of training aircraft performing aerial maneuvers and flower dropping.
• Model Aircraft Build & Fly Competitions involving electric, petrol, and jet-powered model planes from across Pakistan.
• Aviation Art Competition and Flight Simulations, showcasing creative and technical talent through posters, virtual reality simulators, and flight experiences.
• Astronomy Events, including moon, planet, and star gazing sessions in collaboration with the Pakistan Astronomers Society.
• Food Stalls, Live Music, and Family Zones, creating an inviting and festive environment for all visitors.
• Talent Hunt and On-Spot Overseas Job Placement Opportunities, organized in collaboration with Overseas Employment Services (Fauji Foundation) for aspiring pilots and aviation professionals.

These engaging activities will be accompanied by a flagship Aviation Seminar that will serve as the intellectual centerpiece of ICAD 2025.

Aviation Research Collaboration

The Aviation Research Collaboration will be key part of the event under the theme “Latest Technologies for Airline Pilot Training in Pakistan.” The collaboration will bring together Pakistan’s leading aviation educators, researchers, and policymakers to discuss modernization in aviation education and training.

Key participants include representatives from universities, colleges, schools, along with experienced RFC instructors and pilots who will share real-world insights. A special career development address will be delivered by the Executive Director of Overseas Employment Services (Fauji Foundation), followed by the Chief Guest’s keynote speech. The session will conclude with the distribution of shields and certificates of appreciation.

Audience and Participation

The event will attract a diverse audience, including aviators, veterans, aeromodellers, astronomers, students, families, and aviation enthusiasts from across Pakistan. Delegations from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Peshawar are expected to attend, along with participants from universities, research centers, and private aviation organizations.

Through its collaborative efforts with Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), Model Aircraft News, and Overseas Employment Services (Fauji Foundation), RFC aims to establish ICAD 2025 Islamabad as the country’s premier annual aviation event — one that inspires innovation, celebrates achievement, and connects Pakistan’s aviation community under one sky.
